One place for board documents
SharePoint became the central location for board documents that had been shared through several systems and manual steps.
Customer Case Study
With an on-premises server approaching replacement, Zoo Museum District wanted to simplify how its board and supported institutions shared documents and communicated. Acumen helped bring board documents, meetings, chat, and calling into a coordinated Microsoft 365 environment.
Zoo Museum District is a St. Louis governance and funding organization that supports public institutions. Board members and the institutions it supports need to exchange documents and communicate across organizational boundaries. That made the way information was stored and shared an important part of the technology project.
The organization used several systems and manual steps to share files and communicate. Its on-premises server was approaching replacement. Leadership wanted to address that lifecycle decision while making it easier for the board and supported institutions to work with documents, calls, chat, meetings, and email in a more consistent environment.
Acumen helped move board documents to SharePoint, giving them a central location. Teams supported chat and meetings, Teams Phone brought calling into the Microsoft 365 environment, and email was included in the coordinated approach. Acumen also supported printing and scanning changes so the document workflow was addressed alongside the cloud transition.
The project brought board documents and the main communication tools into a more coordinated Microsoft 365 environment. These are the operational changes recorded for the project:
SharePoint became the central location for board documents that had been shared through several systems and manual steps.
Chat, meetings, calling, and email were brought into the coordinated Microsoft 365 approach.
Acumen addressed printing and scanning alongside the cloud transition so the surrounding document workflow was part of the project.
